What is difference of RON95 to RON97 petrol?

Higher RON means the fuel is more resistant to knocking. What is knocking? Knocking mean the tendency of  the combustion to occurs before the spark plug ignites. The cause a wrong timing for the combustion and may damage your engine.Higher RON enable you to tune your engine more by increasing compression ratio and ignition timing (for example turbo cars)

There fore for normal car, RON95 and RON97 are the same. You wont feel any difference on the performance but probably in you wallet. Since the price for RON97 is increased to RM2.05 compared to RON95 is RM1.80. "Blood Sucking Petronas"
